Join The Mongolia Fund's (TMF) second fly fishing expedition into Mongolia's Darhat Valley and contribute to the conservation of this pristine environment. We will fish in the rivers of the Darhat Valley for species that include char, grayling, and the fabled taimen of Siberia. This extraordinary trip is a limited group adventure for the hearty fly fisher-person who has dreamed of camping and fishing in the legendary land of Chinggis Khan and fishing in the home waters of the magnificent taimen. The waters of the scenic Darhat Valley are reported to be one of the last pristine fisheries on earth. By the permission of Mongolian authorities, this area includes TMF's research site for Landlocked Salmon Conservation project. This trip is planned by Ken Iwamasa, Director of TMF's Landlocked Salmon Conservation project, and will be hosted by Chimbat, and his English speaking guides. All tax deductible fees and proceeds benefit The Mongolia Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of this fishery in the Darhat Valley and involved as well in other environmental activities in Mongolia. For information on TMF and how you can participate, see the contact information below. Itinerary
