The tailing on this fly can confuse folks and I just hope I don't add to that problem here.
What is trying to be achieved is a constant length that you can repeat from fly to fly. So, in this case the Moose fibers are the three tails. A Green Drake has very long abdominal area and tails.
What we want is a three fiber tail that is about two hook lengths long, as _measured_ from the start of the bend of the hook as shown by the line in the photo above. One length of the tail is shown be measured
We want twice the above shown length, tied in at the line point (A) to be to the left of that line.
Have a look at the Natural bug, note the length of both the body and the tails.
