the prior length shown in step #16 is now pinched between my fingers. The new, second length and final one, is defined now at the eye. So, If I now pinch the fibers with my _right_ hand at the eye, the fibers will be two hook shanks in length. When we move that pinched area to the left over the hook bend , we have the tails !!
