This is the Elk Hair. I want to be sure that the clump I have cleaned is going to be long enough to use. As long as it goes by the mid point of the tail you will have plenty. When you clean the hair discard the short fibers. Grab the tips, measure it against the tail and remove any that are too short. If you use Rump there should be no problem.
