Once the ribbing material is tied in place, tie in a "prepared " slip of Turkey Tail feather. The width of which should be about half the hook gap. Wrap the wing case tie in area, well. On larger sizes this may be the place for a single drop of head cement

By prepared, I mean a "Flex-cement" treated or equal piece of feather cut to the proper size.
