| Here is a commercially prepared hopper leg. There are "right's and lefts" in the package. The one above is a left leg when viewing the fly from the rear. You can build your own by using a single overhand knot on a grizzly Chinese Neck hackle. Those feathers on the right side of the neck will flare to right for a right leg and the same will hold true for the feathers on the left side of the neck. Myself, I have done the knot thing and I must say it's bit of work. I prefer to buy them now. |
