| Here is a Teal Flank Feather. When you are going through your feathers, look for one that is close to symmetrical. That's to say, you want a feather that each side of the stem mirrors the other and has a relatively"square" tip. Here is a comparison. Note that A is "beveled", that's from the wing beating on the feather. B is more even topped and symmetrical. We want "B" |
