Here the underbody of floss is tyed in. Given the size of the fly i.e. 14 and larger, I use a floss under body to give the peacock the look of more volume.. It make the fly look bigger and fuller. This floss can be used to even a weighted fly as well. At both ends of the lead wraps, use the floss to ease the transition back to the hook and to cover the round or even the holes created by weighting the fly. This make for an even wrap of the herl. It will not rollover at the lead ends nor slip between the lead wraps.
